hmmmm.. most frustrating anime i've ever watched. only watched this because of L, and when he died, nothing make sense, even though N came as a replacement, no one can replace L. (cries)
I can't even think of a reason why Light became the Protagonist, so much for intelligent people. See, if you watch this, you'll see that intelligent people are indeed scary, so does that mean that people studying in UP are scary? (yabang eh).
The story's kind of tiring, too much mental fights, honestly the only part that i've liked is when Light's memory was wiped off, and he and L sort of "bonded". But after he regained his memory back, the plot grows darker, and there seems to be no hope for the people. How can an anime be this hopeless? (sighs) I want L back!

Death Note has a fantastic storyline... and I totally agree with you that it can be frustrating, I still love it overall.
yeah, I agree with you, maybe I just didn't like the idea of the lead being the evil one.
